Lonliest coaster?

Hey slow day makes for quick headlines over at ARN&R! ;)

Is that a giant slide next to the ride? That looks like more fun than the coaster.

That slide is freakin' huge. Well maybe not that big, but you probably go really slow because of the sharp turns, unless they give you a mat to sit on. If they do give you a mat, it looks insane.

Defeat the Enemy. Vote for Kerry in 2004!
matt.- that coaster sure does look might lonely! I dont think I would even want to go on that!! They need to have larger trees around it!

My top 3 Coasters! 1. Millennium Force 2. Raging Bull 3. Magnum
I thought "-est" topics were a voliation of the TOS? ;)

Real lonliness though is when there's other people around but you still feel alone (I heard that on a zoloft commercial anyway).

What about those coasters that sit in busy parks but just no one wants to ride? The Demon at SFGAm seems really lonely these days.

I'd have to say Afterburner at Fun Spot is pretty lonely. Zyclon isn't much of a companion...
CI's Thunderbolt (or do they have to be operating). it just looks sad, especially with the shed underneath it.

Looks pretty lonely... course, it's got the pyramids off in the distance to keep it company. ;)

The bigger they are, the harder they brake

Well, it DID look lonely, they ripped it down several years ago.

Well loneliest SLC anyway...I mean, the tumbleweeds say it all.

Dont forget the quintesential American Lonliest coaster http://www.rcdb.com/installationgallery103.htm?Picture=13

Yes there is a building there but I just remember driving forever into the desert to ride it.

SBNO since 1988...http://www.rcdb.com/installationdetail234.htm...spells lonely.

I think RCDB is wrong on that one. I'm recalling that this was the first year that park didn't open. Proving that, I know someone who has ridden it, and he was born after RCDB's date.

As for the loneliest coaster, I'm gonna' put my vote in for Flashback at SFMM.

The coaster that nobody loved.:(

My vote for lonliest coaster would go to any beach coaster in winter. The ghost town feeling of all those emply buildings seems lonlier to me that any remote location. *** Edited 1/16/2004 5:11:33 AM UTC by Jim Fisher***

Oohhh! Desecration! That's my kind of theme park.

Desecration? I thought that Defecation was more to your liking ;)

Taking Gonchar's idea, the park could have themed sections, one for each coaster:

Isolation

Desolation

Desecration

Despair

Sounds like a park that could be sponsored by Paxil or Zoloft!
