Longest Lines

Matt Scott, that's insane! 13.5 hours for THAT flick? Craziness.

I waited 3 - 31/2 hours to get on Mean Streak in it's first year.

Astroworld in '87 every line was one hour minimum.

Texas cyclone was 2.5hr and my wife waited 45 minutes in line for a bathroom break! There was a

Depeche mode concert that day.

ROLLER COASTER RD rose twp. jeff co. T843
All time - 3+ hours for Dragster on opening day

Also, when I was younger the waits for Thunder River at Six Flags St. Louis were always an hour +.

This season - 35 - 40 minutes for Dragster has been my longest wait I think...

I also camped out for Star Wars tickets - not just Episode I but also the rereleases.

2 hours several times (Batwing opening year, with 2 breakdowns; Dragster, with one breakdown. etc.)

If I'm in the right mindset and the sun and heat aren't brutal, I don't mind waiting in line, but 2 hours is about my limit -- any more than that and I'd rather be doing something else.

"You seem healthy. So much for voodoo."

5 1/4 hrs for Dragster opening day

4 hrs for Millennium a couple of weeks into it's first season on a Saturday (was only 2:30 opening day)

5 1/2 hrs for X

Call me crazy (most do) but I almost enjoy waiting - it's part of the experience, and helps the adrenaline rush. Walk-on days I don't last too long because I get bored very very fast!

3 hours for Hercules on a rainy Saturday night in the early nineties. Yeah... I know! Crazy, huh?
Longest line (with breakdowns): Steel Phantom, more than 4 hours.

Longest line (without breakdowns): Flight of Fear, 3 hours. The line extended all the way to the entrance of Days of Thunder, near the Vortex line.

Longest wait (media day): TTD, well over four hours. Although the line was not long at all. Breakdowns + endless line of reporters entering from the exit ramp + constant camera switching and equipment problems = long wait.

2.5 hours for MF, Raptor, Raging Bull and Magnum (on various dates 1999-2002).

Longest wait I have ever done-Boston's 4th of July concert and firework show last year. Got there at 7 am, got my spot on the green, and with one 2 hour break for lunch was confined to that park for 12-14 hours (couldnt remember when it started). Definatly worth the wait though that show was great.

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

I hate to admit it but, 3 hours for Mean Streak in its debut year. Other than that, I've never waited longer than an hour for any ride, including Millenium Force the opening year.
2 1/2 for superman ultimate flight at SFGAdv, but saved it for last and we only get there maybe once a year. at more local parks, an hour is da max :)
2 hours for TTD (that includes 2 breakdowns)

longest w/o breakdowns was 1 3/4 hrs for MF

Longest wait I've had to do without breakdowns was when I finally got on X last year. First wait was 3.5 hrs, 2nd wait was 3 hrs. The worst thing about that wait is the line doesn't move and there are parts of the line that you are baking in the California sun.

I would do the wait again, just I would never wait that long at my home park like some of you above. I can get to my home park pretty much whenever I want and can get on new rides with no wait throughtout the year (I rode Batman 14 times in an hour the first or 2nd year it was open).

Not surprising at all. They were at the peak of their popularity in the states on the "Music for the Masses" Tour (a great tour might I add). If you watch the DVD of "101" (or on VHS), you can see a short snippet of Shockwave at SFOT.

I spent 6 hours waiting for Titan on its opening day. Probably one of the most senseless things I have ever done to ride a coaster, but the people I waited with were cool so I didn't mind.

2 hours for the Nightmare at Darien Lake back in its opening year, 1996. The worst part was that I was with a school group and couldn't leave. Boy was I annoyed afterwards. I was expecting so much more than a Jet Star due to the extreme hype for that ride.

Schwarzkopf shuttle loops...The most possible fun in 36 seconds.

For me, it was one hour, fourty-five mintues for Superman: Ultimate Flight @ SFGAm, first season. Usually I won't wait any longer than one hour for a ride, though.
Actually thinking about it, I waited a good 3 plus hours for Top Thrill Dragster last year and didnt even get to ride it because it broke down and then started to rain.
2 hrs for Spiderman at IOA

1.5 hrs for Drop Zone

1.5 for BORG

1.5 hrs with a rain delay for Deja Vu

1.25 hrs for Hulk

1.25 hrs for Montu

1 hr for Dueling Dragons

45 mins for Superman Ride of Steel

I don't have any 2.5-5 hr ones yet, that could change at GADV or Hershey though...hopefully not. *** Edited 6/6/2004 2:53:39 AM UTC by Willh51***

Hour and a half for Borg? Jeez, I got a front and back row ride in less than 20 min....:)

Ah, it pays to get there when the park opens.
