Logger's Run Incident, Ice Mountain Opens

Ice Mountain Splash at SFGAm opened today for the first time this year. It was aparently opened as compensation for Logger's Run being closed. From Ice Mountain Splash, it appears the conveyor belt on Logger's Run's lift snapped sometime today.
I hope they get the problem fixed soon... Maybe after they fix it, they will run both log flumes? I haven't seen that in a while.

Yosaid Ive Mountain Splash opened today as a compensation to Logger's Run. If it only opened because Logger's Run was down, why haven't they opened Ice Mountain Splash yet this year if it seems to be operating fine (now)? The boats have always been in the station. Why?

Maybe Deja Vu would be on this list if it would open!

If this is true, that just aggravates me.

Its now July. Ice Mountain Splash should have already been open. They advertise 4 water rides so all 4 should be operating if they are in working condition.

I agree with you Chitown. I didn't see it open all year last year. Did it ever open? I remember they used to run all the time. We would get off 1 of them and get on the other. Why can't they keep both of them open? Staffing should not be an issue now.

Miss coastergames.net? Here is a good site.

For the past few years they have run Ice Mountain Splash only on Saturdays or extremely hot days. I beleive the reasoning for doing this is to keep maintenance costs down and staffing issues. Logger's Run is the more popular flume so that is the one that is kept open everyday.

I was at the park on quite a few Saturdays last summer, many of them very hot days, and NEVER saw Ice Mountain Splash in operation.

Maybe I just stopped paying attention.

I was at the the park yesterday(July 14th) and Loggers Run has reopened.
That's good news. Was IMS open?

There is a sign that clearly states that IMS Is only open on Weekends. As well as the Home Town Fun Machine.

Carlo

I was there on july 5th and all 4 water rides were opened all day. Also it was not that hot or crowded. Ice mountian had by far the longest line (my friends made me go on all 4). River Rapids was only about 5min and so was loggers run. The big boat one was 30min. and ice mountian was at least 50min.

Alos on IMS and LR there is two drops but only one is used. Why is this?

The ride is "Roaring Rapids" thank you very much. Nobody says the correct name for that ride.
