Locking Up And Other Bad Stuff...

I'm just wondering if anyone else has any problems with RCT. Mine locks up and freezes while playing. Every once in a while my sound will go out too but I can get that back by just clicking on the sound driver in the options. Anyone else have any of these running problems or know how to fix them?

I had problems with the original RCT quitting unexpectantly but LL seems to work just great.

well my computer isn't too good, it's an original pentium, 233 mghz, and only like 32 meg ram. But RCT has always ran smoother than most other games. Once in a while I do get the unexpectedly quit error, but that was only with the original version and CF, NOTHING bad to report so far with LL!

I have that problem, sometimes it will freeze and everything will just stop for a couple seconds. Sometimes the music goes out to.

Mine kicks me out, and I have to reset it for the sound to work. Hopefully LL will get rid of that.

Every time I save a game, the color on my screen goes all nuts. I save and then it's like I'm looking at a negative. Every color on the screen is opposite of what it used to be. To fix it, I have to switch the display mode in the game from 640X480 to 800X600. Then I usually, switch it back to 640X480 because I like the way it looks better. It really gets annoying doing this, but it's the only way I can fix it.

At least I'm not the only one having problems with the game. I wonder if it locks up because I don't save it very often. Is getting all the saved game info at once too much for my computer?I do have a ton of saved games on my hard drive.

Maybe, perhaps, downloading the new patch for LL might help? You can find it at http://support.hasbro.com/ . Choose "Roller Coaster Tycoon Loopy Landscapes" as the game, Win 95 or 98 as the platform (shouldn't matter), click Patches / Updates, and find the patch appropriate for your locale (US for most people I'd think :p)

One thing to keep in mind though: I've read that some of the trainers, etc., have problems with the patched version. I personally couldn't care less about this but I know there are a ton of other people out there who do...

This is in reply to MooreOn's post. The same thing happens to me but when I'm in the middle of playing, usually I just go to the laod game menue and select cancel and that usually puts it back in order.
