Locals see activity at former Freestyle Music Park

Something appears to be happening at the former Freestyle Music Park. People who work nearby report seeing signs of life on the long-dormant property. The park opened as Hard Rock Park in 2008 and went bankrupt after one season. New owners took over, renamed it Freestyle Music Park and again failed after one season. It's been closed since the fall of 2009.

^yes there's a bunch of empty city blocks around the park (with a few hold-out houses here and there). I'm glad to finally get an explanation for that lol.

Anyway, settling it once and for all, here's how the ride could fit in the space:

If it were 130 feet shorter in length.

You squished a coaster that's ~967 feet from end to end into a space that's ~830 feet from end to end.

Google has foiled me again with its inconsistent scale. The zoom levels aren't equivalent across different regions. I did think it fit in there a little too well.

Google maps has a distance measurement tool.

The former site of Chang is ~830 feet in length. The length of the old Led Zep coaster is ~967 feet.

However, the total distance from the amphitheatre behind T2 to the road that splits the park in two is around 1400 feet and the extra distance is just a storage lot and a small corner of what looks to be an overflow parking lot.

Here is 975 feet measured out on the former Chang site:

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
