Elitch Gardens has returned to local ownership as an investment team led by a Denver real estate firm and backed by Stan Kroenke announced they were purchasing the 125-year-old theme and water park.

As I understand it, they're actually purchasing the park from CNL. Premier was, and apparently will remain, the operator.

Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!
So much for the theory of Herschend leaving Darien Lake because they wanted to ONLY purchase DL while CNL wanted to sell their whole portfolio as a group...
But then again, what do I know?
