L.Lake featured, while parks dissed by candidate..

All in your Sunday Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch!

Not really enough to qualify as a news item...but LeSourdsville Lake was featured in the Columbus Dispatch on Sunday. You can read about it here if you'd like: http://libpub.dispatch.com/cgi-bin/documentv1?DBLIST=cd02&DOCNUM=35584&TERMV=5396:9:104417:9

Also in the same paper, they posed a "fun" question to current governor Bob Taft (R) and candidate Tim Hagan (D): "What is your favorite amusement park ride?" Taft answered the Racer at PKI, Hagan said "I hate amusement parks." (the URL is enormous - search the site for "Hagan")

Yet another reason to vote Republican for Ohio governor! :-)

Looks like we could have another Markey on our hands. Taft will win it anyway.

Since Jeff made Track Record a "perk" for CB members i'll just post my count here: Coasters:99 Parks:14

How did I miss this? I read the entire paper!

The only thing Hagen has going for him is that his wife is Kate Mulgrew, who played Capt. Janeway on "Star Trek Voyager." He is using that, too, having all sorts of Trek stars at his political rallies.

Got to get that all-important nerd vote! ;)

Hey hey hey! I'd be willing to wager that the percentage of people who watch Star trek and vote is greater than the percentage of people who watch NASCAR and vote!

Jeremy - I never said I wasn't a nerd!

Good job on voting folks.....but remember, we have the Nascar fans here, and you know how our voting turned out....LMAO....;)

Coasterpunk - I'm such a nerd that I have a huge map of Ohio and the U.S. with stickpins for all my hits. Almost 250 now!

Any other Georgers out there?

Jeremy, You would be supprised how many NASCAR fans are also Ditoheads- aka Limbaugh Fans- and they do vote. I happen to be a NASCAR fan and a Trekker so where dose that put me.

Would you actual vote for a candidate solely on what show his wife is on.

(Former Signature replaced due to bad joke with accident) The Beast at night-Two peas in a pod? http://www.geocities.com/moviecoaster/safetyeditorial- Next article against Markey!

Den, I'm at 98 hits as we speak. I only started to mark bills in late April though. So far I've gotten hits at Knoebels, and one from Sandcastle waterpark in Pittsburgh. I plan on unloading some "Georges at Dorney, Bushkill Park, Williams Grove and Hershey this week! :)
