LL Trouble (HELP!)

I'm sorry if this has already been asked (or answered), but I'm having some troubly with Loopy Landscapes. First off, let me say that RCT itself (with no expansions) runs fine. Then, I go to install Loopy Landscapes and the program won't run. The screen goes black, then I see a distorted screen of the main menu and the error trapper message pops up (the one that says Access Violation:Unknown. I used to get this sometimes with my ttrainer, but the trainer isn't runnung when this happens. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you fix it? Help!

I'm having the EXACT same problem. If anyone could help us that'd be great!

I probally know how to explain this for you. Did you download this online like on WinMX or something like that? Cause even though I already ordered LL and CF which will come next week, I downloaded one and it made the RCT have like weird black and some pixels accross the screen. If you bought it well then dont ask me.

I bought it, but thanks for trying. Oh, and I updated all of my video and audio drivers and it still doesn't work.

Ok, this is for anyone else having this problem. I found some info on the InfoGrames website's FAQ. (scroll down a little to find it). It looks like we need a patch, but it can only be used on a fresh install of the game. I'm going to try it and I'll hopefully let you know if it works later.

I had the same problem when I tried loading Loopy Landscapes on my new Windows XP machine. Go to the official RollerCoaster Tycoon site and download/install the latest patches.

My copy works fine now.

CP4LIFE is correct, the Infogrames site has the patch you need to run LL on an XP Pro or 2000 machine.

The thing is, I have Win 98, not XP or 2000, so I have no idea why this is happening. Mine still doesn't work, but I want to install it again and try.
