Interesting... I'm a little skeptical. With the last two releases, a lot of places didn't get a single copy in until after the supposed launch date.

Actually, most stores get their games before the actual launch date. (This helps them work out displays and such) However, most will not put them out on the shelf until the launch date due to stiff fines that gaming companies impose. (More often with popular games then say, something from HeadGames). So, while its entirely possible that someone has their hands on LL right now, just know that the store that he/she/it got it from is now risking the chance of getting hit with various forms of fines from Hasbro.

Frequently stores get their games the night before the street date, actually. Sometimes a bit earlier than that. Sometimes the employees sit around nervously waiting for UPS or FedEx to get there ON the street date :)

USUALLY there's a lead time, but not always. And lots of times, SOME store (around here, usually Target ;) ) will break the street date and put the product out as soon as they have it.

Cleveland area EB stores say tomorrow (Saturday) is the day, but as Greg was saying, they'll likely be nervously sitting on the dock waiting for it!

If that damn thing does come in tomorrow, you can pretty much kiss my weekend goodbye!

Personally I'm waiting for my Chips & Bits order to come in, hopefully I won't have to wait TOO long. (The other item I ordered, Virtua Cop 2 import for the Dreamcast, showed up 2 days after the order, so they DO ship quickly when they HAVE an item)

Well, I went to EB today at lunch to see when LL would be in, and the employee said that it would be shipping over the weekend, and would go on sale on Tuesday
Skeeber,

Where do you live? Sometimes when the warehouses are farther away from stores it takes a longer time for the stuff to come in. It shows poor management, but it happens sometimes.

Rollercoasters: They're not a hobby, they're not an interest, they're an ADDICTION!
I live just north of Toronto, Ontario, Canada
It seem that all games come out here a few days after the U.S.
I guess it's because most companies have their headquarters and manufacturing plants there.
Well, that's my theory at least, (they're probably doing it just to annoy me). :)

If things seem under control, you're just not going fast enough.
I went to Best Buy today in Michigan to get Loopy Landscapes but they didnt have it in!:(
For anyone who ordered it from Chips & Bits and is still waiting, it should be arriving soon -- mine came in today.

Not THRILLED that I had to wait an extra week, but hey, at least it was cheap (and soon to be even cheaper with the rebate from Hasbro!)
