The scenery sounds like fun. I don't think I'll be building too many "polar bear" SLC's, or "koala" reverse freefalls (???), but I'm eager to check out the surfing stand-up. Great idea. I wonder if the stage-coach cars will attract peeps to wooden coasters in the rain.
I still haven't been able to find Wacky Worlds anywhere in Seattle. Grrrr.

Honestly, it has grown on me. Some of the new ride variations are really imaginitive and cool, and the scenarios are as interesting as ever. (The rainforest clearing one is really, really cool.)

Some of the new "exotic" vehicle designs are admittedly stupid and with the exception of the themed scenarios, almost useless. However some of them are really cool (I especially like the cadillac limo trains) and the new theming options open up whole new worlds of design for us who like to create coasters to share on the net via exchanges - like CB games.
I can see where some of you may not think $29.99 was justified depending on you motivations in playing the game - I feel fine about paying $30 for it.
The bottom line it seems is that if you do big fantasy parks or recreations and wanted new flat rides (chaos, giant frisbee, etc) to more accurately do you parks - then you're going to be disappointed. More-so if you wanted to recreate actual parks and needed a certain ride. That wasn't the intention of this add-on. Avoid the game.
Those who do true fantasy parks may just find some great inspiration and I think if I had the patience to do a whole park that this would really round out the look and feel for me.
If you like scenario play, then you'll find this enjoyable.
If you like making single coasters and theming them up to share with others (like here at CB games) then you'll most likely welcome the additional options. I know the old theming items were starting to feel stale when it came to "one off" coasters and this should rejuvenate the fun in making single coaster designs.
Worth the money? Without a doubt. I still see it as a very limited segment of users being disappointed.

This expansion pack is just my type. I love theming rides, and I'm glad that they're going more for fantasy and not realism - maybe the next expansion pack will be called "Realistic Rides"? So maybe they're going to make one expansion pack with tons of theming, and another with tons of realism.
Even if you dislike WW, I know all you whiners will end up buying this. Think of the last RCT; it was nearly impossible to play LL without CF also. And with more people uploading Wacky Worlds files on CBGames and over the internet, you wouldn't want to feel like an outsider, would you? I think not. ;)

This leads to my only other slight disappointment with the game - you can't cram enough into custom workbenches.
I like to do single coasters all themed up and put them on exchanges. My workbenches include all coaster types and each one has a different combo of theming so I can mix it up.
I went to make one briefly and before I could include all the ride styles I'd like to play with I was getting "too much scenery" errors. I compromised a bit and when I went to include different themes I tried to choose "North American" and was told there wasn't enough memory left to include it.
With the add-on that scenery limit really hits me hard. Now instead of 3 or 4 well thought out workbenches, I'm going to have to make WAY more to cover all the bases.
Other than that, this is a great add-on and even that limitation is with the way the game was coded, not with the add-on.

Ok the diamond is too big otherwise they look ok That Different rides thing really pisses me off. It was a pain in the a$$ in rct2 also. I guess it has something to do with the limits of the game just like the scenery limits.
This is something that HAS TO BE ADDRESSED in any sequel or add-on. Find a way to raise the limits

The scenery limits are a tad irritating this time around - just because there's so much stuff I want to try using. It won't be addressed in an add-on, it'll take a serious reworking of the code. If they go on to RCT3 that's probably the soonest you could expect the limits to be upped.

Am I really that shy?
Would you have paid $60 for RCT2 and these 16 extra scenereos and variations on existing rides and scenery? Well, maybe, but you would have thought you were being ripped off while paying it...
And no, Fury, the peeps aren't smarter. There are NO changes to the game, even badly needed fixes. It's just a bunch of scenery objects and a handful of scenereos that use them. That's it, that's all, nothing else. Nothing you couldn't download for free from the Internet in various forms already.
Yes I'd have paid $60 for the two combined and no it wouldn't have felt like a ripoff at all. I've paid $49 and $59 for games that I've blown through in a week or two and long forgotten about. I still play RCT2 regularly after 7 months and this will just keep it interesting. $60 for all of this is an entertainment steal! I can't think of any other way to spend $60 for a year's worth of entertainment. (maybe coasterbuzz club :) ) Since this IS an amusement park/roller coaster site after all, let me compare the $60 for RCT2 and WW giving me a year's worth of entertainment vs the average one day admission to a large chain amusement park costing $40 to $50 and getting you 12 hours of entertainment at best. It sounds like a downright steal again! I can't see any reason the price of this add-on is unjustified.
