Line length/theme for Top Thrill Dragster?

I would bet that the waits for Dragster are very similar to what we see with MF. The capacity for Dragster is 1500 pph, where Magnum is 2000, Raptor is about 1800, Mean Streak is 1600.

In other words, don't go expecting short waits, MF's capacity is listed at 1500 pph also. I'm sure 2-3 hours will be the norm in the heat of the summer for this thing. None the less, I'm still pretty excited about it.

Does it take more time to go verticle on this ride than xcelerator?

When Millennium Force was announced, they said it would do 1,600 PPH. Don't you believe it; the ride is too fast for that and the blocks are all wrong.

Millennium Force can do 1,200 PPH on a good day when everything is running absolutely on interval. Most of the time it's slightly slower than that.

Dragster is going to be a less than 40-second ride, so ride time won't be messing up the dispatch interval. If it runs right, it will do about 1,440 PPH, which is the same as Corkscrew or Blue Streak 1964-1993.

You've been playing too much Roller Coaster Tycoon. In the real world, when coaster trains crash, they almost never burn! :)

Ah well, if I die I can't think of a better way to go (well other than in my sleep).

First off - I'm just wondering... As Mantis has two trains (one unused), who's to say that all 6 will be on the track at the same time. Maybe CP has an extra or two in case of severe wear?

Just grabbing at flies here. Six trains doesn't seem like it'll happen because on ALL other coasters (w/ more than 2 trains), there's always ONE waiting in the blocks behind the station while one's loading/unloading, and the third is on the track.

First, Mantis has 3 trains, one unused. Second, what other coasters are 420 ft tall, 120 mph, and less than 15 seconds long? As was one of the points in a small arguement I had in these forums last month, Cedar Point definetly cares about capacity and rarely have less than all of their trains on the circuit at once unless there is a breakdown of some sort or the trains need to be repaired (Mantis and Wildcat are the only two I can think of that dont usually have all the trains/vehicles on at once). I bet they will have all 6 trains running or at the very least, 5 running.

Ditto to that! (Well, other than the dying while sleeping part. Too dull a death for me.)

.. actually.. the ride from launch to ready sensors is more in the area of 22-23 seconds.
