Line Cutting Excuses

The best excuse is no excuse. I had to "yell" at a couple of punk pre-teens at SFO last summer and got a response something like "Yeah, so what, nobody (insert something crude) cares!"

"Line Jumping Is Not A Sport."

I hate people who do that, it ticks me off. I usualy yell at them, or inform a security guard. There are times that I let people get in front of me. Like if you've ever been in the line for MF, the pop/candy machines in the middle of the line. If I see someone ahead of me, stop to get some candy or a pop, and they want to get back in their place, I'll let them. That is about the only reason I would let someone get back in line.

Most of the time, people who try and cut in front of me don't say anything, but I don't just stand there and take it. I usually will put them in their place, and they don't talk back, because I'm a pretty intimidating guy(6'4).:)

At Cedar Point, they used the "numbering" system on Raptor too, but I guess found out that it was more of a pain than anything, and generated a lot of trash for the sweeps to take care of - as if they didn't have enough to do (I know - '97 & '98 Zone 1 Crew!). Also, as for stopping at the soda/candy machines in the middle of the line, that isn't considered by the park as line-jumping if you return to your original place. Now, if you go to a machine outside, certainly. Some people will just do stupid things, that's all.

When I am a ride op at KBF next year, I will be sure to catch anyone who line jumps. It only says it in every queue that you will be kicked out of the park if you line jump. Devoted to justice in the queue lines of America! :)
