Limited Days at PKI?

Can someone help me out here

I have just been to the PKI Homepage, and went to the Calender page, I will be visiting PKI in June and when looking at the top of the page, I saw something that said

MAY 25, 28-31 JUNE 1, 4-8 and AUGUST 20, 24 ARE "LIMITED" DAYS.
As a result, some attractions may not open.

Unfortunutly, I will be visiting PKI on or around June 7-8, so what do these limited days actually mean, I will be really disapointed if rides like SOB and The Beast are closed because I am coming all the way from England and probably wont ever get another chance to visit Ohio so if possible I really wanna ride everything.

Surely it cant mean rides are down for maintanence or something because surely they can do this in the off season????

So what does it mean??? HELP
It probably means that you are out of luck. I have been at the website and one of the limited days was my birthday, that didn't make me to happy. The main rides are open, but i don't think that the kiddie rides, water rides, and spinning puke rides will be open, that would be my best guess. They are probably going for something that Cedar Point did last year, when they had only Millenium Force, Power Tower, Magnum, Raptor, and Mantis open, and it was only 19 bucks to get in.
Actually what it means (IMO), is that due to limited employees, they may not be able to staff all the attractions. Remember that "attractions" is a very broad word. It can mean anything from coasters to kiddie rides to shows. Now PKI has done some really odd things, but I cannot believe that the rides would not be staffed. Yes, the waterpark may not be open, but I think all the other big attractions will be.

This is nothing like Milenium Mania that CP put on last year.

Now granted I could be totally wrong here, and if I am well sorry. :) You could try emailing PKI for an explanation.

Have fun in Ohio. It really is an amazing state for coaster fans.

SOB and The Beast will definitely be open. All of the maintenance should have been done way before then. I'm sure the only things closed will be some flat rides. All the major rides and coasters will be open. I don't think PKI has ever had more than a couple rides closed on any day. Last year, the only things I saw closed a lot were Phantom Theatre and the log flume. I don't remember any of the coasters closed last year besides SOB at the beginning. You can always call their offices a few days before you visit. They're no longer PKI if they didn't have the Beasts open. ;)
Limited days at Kings Island is when they are expected to have a shortage of staff. All these dates they have listed on their website are days when a lot of their high school staff will be in school. During the day is when most of the rides are closed. All big attractions will be open. During the evening, about all of the attractions will be open. To be honest, June 7th & 8th should be okay because by then, most of the schools are out for the summer. PKI just made most of those days in June a limited day in the event schools would have to go longer than expected.
I have been to PKI on a limited day before. All large coasters are open, as well as all their popular attractions. They do not run some of the smaller rides etc. They do this because around this time is when they have fewest employees. A lot of their employees are students who are just finishing up school around this time, and are not available to work just yet.
PHEW, thanks a lot people, At least I shouldnt have too much to worry about any of the Big Coasters not being open, Personally I dont mind if any kids rides or flat rides are closed, as long as all 12 coasters will be open, I will be happy, the 2 coasters I really wanna ride are SOB and the Beast so please PKI, Dont close them when I visit(PRETTY PLEASE)

Eric- I think I will e-mail PKI for an explanation on these limited days, just to get offical conformation that big coasters will be open when I visit, I would hate it to happen still.

Also Eric, you bet I am gonna have fun in Ohio:):) Before I go to PKI, I will be taking in maybe 2 days at SFO first, this will be on June 4/5, then I will be going to CP for 2 days, this will be on June 6/7.PKI will follow on June 8/9

And the reason why I want 2 days at each park is to fully do everything, like I said in my last message, I probably wont ever get another chance to visit Ohio so I want to make the most of it, I will also be celbrating after this holiday because I have worked out I should hit my 100th Coaster and it will be at PKI, I am hoping to make SOB the 100th Coaster, What do you think??????:)
I go to pki alot I have a season pass. Your 99th coaster should be SOB then ride the beast right before the park closes at night to make it your 100th coaster!

Cause I am whatever you say I am if I wasn't then why would I say I am.
I agree with the previous post.....make #100 count! The Beast at night is something everyone needs to experience. I really hope you enjoy your visit here! There is so much to do. SFWOA (aka SFO, aka GL) is a blast, and the new laying down coaster will be worth the trip alone. I really feel that PKI will have the major attractions running during the limited days. I personally have been to several of those, which are held for various reasons (usually a season passholder special night). But as mentioned above, look for a few rides not going due to a shortage of staff. In most cases, they rotate operators throughout the day, so your best bet is to hit Sonny right away, when you know for sure is is running. I really hope they get 3 trains going on that this season. Oh, and enjoy VORTEX---it's my favorite!
