Letterman Kills Mr. Six!

Hmm...interesting point. I guess my only remaining questions (or thought really) is I suppose Mr. Six's contract musn't have specified that he can't appear as Mr. Six without SFs permission.

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
Most likely the show's producers asked SF permission to do the skit and utilize the props (including Mr. Six).

It's free publicity.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

My brother had the TV on last night an I saw the skit. I could not stop laughing. It was too funny. What made it funny was not the fact that it was 6 Flags mascot but how annoying those commercials are.
I remember when Letterman took a baseball bat to the Engergizer Bunny. Now that was funny.
it was not the original bus, but it looked very much like the real Mr Six.....
Did anybody find a clip of this someplace? I'm so mad! I was watching Letterman that night, but sometimes I flip flop between Letterman and Leno. I must of flopped when I should have flipped. I missed it! I tried Lettermans website. They have some video clips there, but not of this one. I really want to see it.
Yes, the clip was up for nomination on AOL's Top 5. If you have Broadband and AOL you get to watch 5 clips and then vote on how good you think they are. The Six Flags one got a 5 out of 5. I'll go back and see if I can find a direct link.

edit: If you have an AOL password, here is the link:

It was the real SF bus, and the real Mr. Six.

SFGad park personnel and the Letterman crew shot the spot in Nutley, NJ about a week before it ran....all pre-arranged, and with the blessing of all involved.

STEVE Kingda Ka Size Matters!
The bus used on Letterman was not the one in the original commercial, the commercial bus (a flexible clipper, intercity bus from the fifties) has a single piece door that opens outward, and no ac unit on the roof. It also doesn't have the likeness of Mr. Six on it, nor does it advertise Great Adventure specifically. If you look at the letterman bit, the door that opened to let the announcer out, folded accordian style from the center. Lettermans is a wrapped flxible metro, probably still in operation.

here's a pic of the original bus from the commercials:

it probably looked like this when new

It was very well disguised, but it was not the bus from the commercial, it was a flxible metro

RollercoasterGod - thanks for the link to the clip. Unfortnuately, I have broadband but I don't have aol. I guess I'll just have to hope for a rerun on Letterman. Thanks anyway!
The Late Show posted a link to the clip in their weekly email newsletter. Check it out:

The Clip

Uh, that's the exact same link I posted.
Hmmmm, the page comes up but the video doesn't work for me!
Came up fine for me...

A little drawn out... but very funny! A good spoof :-)

Yahoo! Thank you for finding the clip. I was checking Lettermans site for a few days, and gave up thinking they weren't going to post it. I love Mr. Six, and seeing him dead in the street feeds my sense of dark humor. Thank you thank you everybody!

Draaawwnnn out ... waiting for the punchline .... and what happens? He slowly runs him over.

Where's the funny part?

For those having trouble getting the clip to play in that crappy RealPlayer (communicating ... communicating ...), try playing it in Real Alternative.

The original sketch that aired was alot shorter then the one on lettermen's site.

How do they do that? Wouldn't the guy get hurt, even if it was a stuntman?

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

the Mr Six that was hit was a mannequin...that's why it was rigid as it fell over when it was hit.
