LeSourdsville Lake OPEN Tonight!

I just got off the phone with GR at LeSourdsville. The park will be OPEN (at 5pm) and the Eagle will by FLYING.

In fact they are staying open an EXTRA HOUR till 11pm tonight.

I can't recall the last time I was in Americana late enough to see the all the lighting.

Hey, it's 5pm!!!

Congrats to LeSourdsville, it's not every day a park is brought back from the dead. Here's to a season of support to keep it that way -- and to prove to other parks on shaky ground that you can bounce back!

Thankgod! I've been praying for this ever sense it closed. Too bad I can't go until next weekend. I made a promise to someone to go for the first time and she can't go till next week. O well it's all gravey, it's open!

Just got back from the park. The Screechin' Eagle didn't run tonight. I spoke with one of the Eagles ops and he told me that the computer is down. The coaster won't be running until sometime next week.

Iwent ro the park tonite and it was fun, a little cold, and disappointing sincethe Eagle was closed!! So i rode the SERPENT like 3-4 times!!

P.S. if you were there you might have seen me I was wear a NIKE shirt with an Nw/ green aorund it in the middle, Khaki shorts,a nd Brown sandals. I was with three girls and their mom and another boy my bro. Also i had two ankle braclets on, one on each ankle. I was probably that loud person you heard all teh time!!:-) LoL

P.P.S. One of the workers said taht the Eagle will soar next weekend when they ahve this Dollar Preview thing!;-)

Yes the Eagle wasn't open. Computer malfunction.

However, just to be able to ride what we were able to ride and do what we were able to do. It's not everyday a park is brought back from the grave. The highlights:

What was open: Carousel, Serpent, Flying Skooters, Skyride, Zipper, Muisk Express, Whip, Speedway, Giant Slide, Calypso, Tip Top, Infernal Combustion, Tilt-a-Whirl, Showboat, Liberty Train, Little Dipper and I think all the kiddies in kids town except for the Skyfighters.

The 6 closed rides: Screechin Eagle, Log Flume, Scrambler, Rock-O-Plane, kids ride in Tombstone Teritory, Round Up. (we won't count the Pirate Ship as it hasn't been put together yet)

For those keeping score: Fascination is still there!

New ride placements: Zipper (to left of Serpent), Pirate Ship (Next to Flying Skooters), Musik Express (former Jolly Rogers kids play structure site), Tip Top (where the Tilt-A-Whirl used to be), Fun house (Between slide and Calypso), The Tilt moved where the Eli Wheel used to be.

The mini golf was closed but is getting a total restoration: new carpets, and the sidewals painted Putt-Putt orange. The Tilt got a whole new purple/green color scheme. The Musik Express is run in INSANE mode.

It will be a Pepsi park, if that kind of thing matters to you.
