Has anyone got to ride the log Flume yet? I heard it was open last weekend, but no one I talked to has ridden it.

Matthew,

I haven't been to the park since it re-opened. I plan on dropping by a bit tomorrow. If if it working, I will let you know.

On the topic of their flyers...

Did they get new flyers or something? The old ones were impossible to snap, even for those that are great at snapping? Do you know if they sped them up or something?

It's tough to say if they sped them up since they were last opened. They seem to being going faster than PKI's. While these don't make the "snapping" sound these make a big "KaChunk" followed by everyone in line going "OH MY..." ;) I rode it with a few other ACErs down there and one guy (I think CoasterDave) really had it "KaChunking." You basically have to do it opposite of PKI's and it took me about 3 rides to figure it out. Shawna rode with me (believe it or not it was her first time of this type of ride.) I got one really good one with her on it and she thought the cable was going to snap :)

Have fun at LeSourdsville and let me know how the Screechin Eagle is doing!

Funny, I thought the LeSourdsville Flyers made the snapping motion (Dive Bomb, quick rise, turn and dive, hover, quick rise) but no satisfying KERCHUNK.

BTW there is a really nice slide show of the parks new look at:

No, I did not make the slide show, but I am helping to get the URL passed around.

I love the old sky ride at the park.

Since i have been there in the past few weeks for meetings with the Marketing Director.

I will say the first weekend nothing at the western themed area wasn't open. This area houses not only the flume, but also the scrambler.

I have been at the park every weekend, but have yet to ride anything due to all my visits being of a business nature.

Last word......

Look for LeSourdsville and Outlaw Championship Wrestling to begin weekend shows shortly.
