Lesourdsville Closed Thursday, Opening friday?

OK, Yesterday at 1pm I called and they told me thursday they would be opening, I called them Monday also and two times last week and they all said thursday JUne 6th.

FF to today at noon, NEWS SAYS PARK CLOSED THURSDAY, OPENING FRIDAY JUNE 7th due to need for more training of employees.

I call the park and she says same thing, 10 minutes later the news comes back with they had a lightning strike and wont open till friday with the $1 sneek a peek special.

I told the lady on the phone that I know people comming in from california and all over to do the 6th because thats what they repeatedly said, Its even on the website Lesourdsvillelake.com

The only thing I can say is Im sorry to those who were going on my info.

Mudd, The poster formerly known as Chuck, who could only give the information they told me

I really hope this doesn't get pushed back any more. I appreciate the fact that they are trying to get ready, but they need to just plain set a date in stone and if they are not ready, they open mostly anyway.

Mising the Memorial Day weekend really hurt them. I hope they don't pull a Park River West and close due to low attendence, they need to expect that their numbers probally won't be up to expectation the first year.

The news article to which Mudd, I mean Chuck :), refers:

Of special note, opening weekend: Games, Rides, Food, and Parking to be $1 each.

Sources say that 30 of the parks 36 rides will be operational Friday. The Screechin Eagle will be operational, and they park did not reveal which rides were not.

At least they are trying to reopen with a quality reputation. Imagine any other park pushing back the opening day to do more employee training! Seems like they might end up a Holiday world of Ohio in terms of class :)

LeSourdsville is doing someting BRILLIANT in the fall. They will be open all those weekends in September when PKI is closed for private picnics.

To be the only game in town in the area during the postseason will surely help.

Remember these next two weekeds are preview weekends and as the article states things probably won't be fully operational yet.

I hereby deem September "GAAPALL month"! Too bad Coastermania is Friday. Then again, I don't even have a dollar at the moment....

mudd I mean chuck, There was quite alot of lightning this afternoon and I think somthing got hit. I was in the admin office finishing paperwork and the power went down 3 times. I don't think they could get much training done today.

Visit this classic park!

I checked with the park this morning. I was told the park will open on Friday at 5PM. Most of the rides will be running. They are having a special. Parking and admission will be $1 and all rides will be $1 as well. The pay one price option will be offered in a couple weeks.
