Hard to believe the time has come for Florida's new themepark to open very soon. According to their Facebook page, they are hiring a bus company to transport people from Orlando to the park roundtrip for just $5.
My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.
The wahoo household is getting excited. We haven't picked our first visit date yet but we need to get on it. Just found out the kids are getting the entire Thanksgiving week off this year (due to furlogh days with budget cuts) so that Legoland might be part of that week.
Great idea on the $5 transportation from Orlando. It will be interesting to see how they are going to do that. I suspect we will drive up and back for most of our visits but when we do stay overnight it will likely be in the Orlando area since the hotel options in Winter Haven are somewhat limited.
I think this park is going to be a sleeper hit. I don't think the park and coaster enthusiast groups have a full appreciation of the lengths people will go to these days to placate their pre-teen children and this park is all about that age group. People spend a fortune on Legos without even thinking about it. I don't think you are going to find a shortage of people who would be willing to spend money on a day or two at Legoland.
Outside of the main World of Disney store at Downtown Disney I don't think there is any question that the Lego store there is not only one of the most frequently visited but also has one of the highest sales volumes. And the popularity of Legos on the heels of the Lego video game series continues to grow.
