Legend Train at IAAPA, link to pics

The front car of the new Legend trains is on display at IAAPA.

Personally I will miss the blue, but if color is the sacrifice one must make for a PTC... then so be it.

Note the seatbelts.

SCĀ²...Launching To A Web Browser Near You In 2001...

Yo,

Just talked to a friend of mine who was at IAAPA today...long story short, those aren't the trains for Legend.  He said that they actually signed the contract for the new trains TODAY...so I dunno what to believe.  I mean, there's also a Christmas themed PTC train there, is that going on Raven?  :)

Anyone else who was at the show hear anything like this?

"Words are like...funny...you know?"

The Red train, which I assume is the Christmas train you speak of is display only.  How can I tell?
It appears it is a re-paint of the stars and stripes one they had last year.  If you notice, the lap bars are different in the back of the car as opposed to the front.
It is a demonstration as to the restraint options one has on a PTC.

If thats the train, will the keep the PTC logo on it when it goes to HW?

Your friend is correct. That is NOT the new train for The Legend. It is strictly a display model.

Yes Paula, but those trains would be very cool and fitting for the ride, no? ;)

I was gonna say...those trains look a tad bit SMALL, eh?  But, since it is for display purposes only...

Anyone know when we will get a sneak peek at my favorite coaster's new trains?

That's my bad... I labeled the photos as such. Given the decals, can you blame me? ;)

Yeah, my first impulse was that they were the trains after seeing the Headless Horseman on the Halloween themed one...I guess CCI just wants to make sure that people know they are responsible for the masterpieces we know as The Raven and The Legend. As if they didn't know anyknow. ;)
