Legend train

What is holiday world gonna do with the legend train now that it is getting two new ones?  I think they should use it on the Raven so that it can run two trains also.
1) I believe it's being sold back to CCI to take care of.

1) Raven doesn't have a transfer table so it can only run one train right now.

2) Why would you want to see people fighting over the PTC?  :-)

The Gerstlauer train goes back to CCI, which will refurbish it and sell it to another park. (I have no idea which one.)

We're not planning at this time to go to a 2-train operation on The Raven.

Thanks, Paula

I've heard that the legend train is on its way to Six Flags Worlds Of Adventure as part of a rehab for Raging Wolf Bobs.

Thanks for the info
I haven't been to Holiday World and I don't know how long the lines get but the park should consider getting 2 trains on the Raven too. Its the #1 wood coaster in the world c'mon! Sure it has a shorter circuit but if Corkscrew at Cedarpoint can run 3 trains that Raven can definately run 2.

SFDL NEEDS A GOOD EXPANSION!!!!!!!

I was at Holiday World on a Saturday in the spring, and the line for Raven never got over 15 minutes.  From 4 p.m. till closing it was a walk-on.  They don't need another train.

The park is that empty ?   WOW!
How long was Legend's line that day? Do you really think it need another train if the line doesn't get that long? Not that I'm discouraging PTC's.:)

A critical difference between Raven and Legend is that while the ride time on the Legend keeps getting shorter, it's still significantly longer than Raven. Legend is more than a two-minute ride. There is so much idle time in the station, that ride can actually benefit from a second train. The Raven is so short that there really isn't a whole lot of need for a second train. It could be done, but it would probably stack most of the time.

Raven Maven, Thank you for frequenting this site and providing us with credittable accurate information.

I will be making an Eastern trip this year, and we're looking to (hopefully) visit HW on Thur May 16 or Fri May 17. Plans are still in the works as to what our actuall agenda will be. We have a relative who donates his condo in Sandusky, so the whole trip kinda revolves around the free lodging.

Fighting over the PTC? Cripes, I *must* be a lateral-loving sicko because I'd be fighting for the G-Train :-)

I like the Gersts on some rides (Villain, for instance), and don't really MIND them on the rest (such as Legend), but I really DO think the PTCs will be an improvement.

Gersts on Raven probably wouldn't be that bad, though.  Raven is definitely more about air than laterals (and we all know I'm an airtime whore ;) ), and the G-Trains are just fine for that, at least for me...

The trains were sold back to the company that made them. No one knows what they will be doing with them. Although I was talking to the manager of  the park and she said that the new trains cost 250,000 dollars. (just thought i would add that bit of info)
Wow that much for a train!!!

Count me in on the G lovin group.   I don't like the fact that they don't have soft padding.  I LOVE they allow more FREEDOM.  Dividers should be outlawed.  KUDOS TO LIBERTYLAND FOR REMOVING THEM!
Charles Nungester, saying buzzbars and seatbelts are sufficient.
