Lebanon, TN drops support for Bible Park

The Lebanon city council voted Tuesday night to take back its support for a Bible-themed amusement park proposed to be built just outside the Wilson County seat. Councilman William Farmer said he was troubled that the same group that brought the Hard Rock Park to South Carolina is backing the Bible Park.

I guess Jesus doesn't like people using his name for profit. What a concept...

A lot of people are just repressed. I don't see a problem with a Bible-themed park as long as it's done respectfully. Hell, most TV evangelists use Jesus' and God's names to make themselves a profit. Most of the so-called Christians around here abuse it to make themselves a profit. That's not respectful. It all boils down to hypocrisy.

I just think it would be neat. I am thinking along the lines of Legoland and Idlewild...both are heavily themed with good taste.

Actually, now that I think about it....a park focused on rock music AND Christianity would be kickass. I am sure that would piss a lot of people off. ;)
