Alright. Hold on and puhleeez gimme a break! The poll shows that "the midwest" is in more"dire need" of new coasters than the South?
You gotta be kidding me. This has to be a reflection of the sheer number of voters from the midwest, and not a "dire need." Unless somebody carved the Buckeye State outta the midwest.
Now, I kan understand the Pac NW, but, better build a new KingDome for them!
Florida needz the coasters, or you can have them and give us the CP and PKI tracks ;)! We won't get 'em, though. We gotta spend the money on "counting machines...."

Yeah, I dont know either why people voted the Midwest. I am from the Midwest and know that we have the most selection of coasters then anywhere else. My vote went for the Pacific Northwest. They are deprived of coasters in that area.
My guess as to why the poll turned out that way is that there are more people from the midwest than anywhere else on this group, and then they didn't think about the question...they just voted for the area they live in. I also voted for pacific northwest, it seemed pretty simple that there are fewer coasters there than anywhere else listed.
Yeah, people really answered that one incorrectly. We're pretty comfortable here in this region of the country. Compare that to the Northwest where they've got nothing to ride, other than a few kiddie rides and that goofy thing through the woods near Portland (name escapes me).
If you've never been there, it is without question one of the most beautiful regions in the US. It's just a shame that there are no coasters there.

Yeah I agree that Pacific NW is in terrible shape.
Besides 2 CCI's in Idaho, what else DO they have?

Coasters...the best natural buzz available.
Yeah....I'd even give up my Florida big-coaster dreams for them. At least for a little while!
PacNW needs something, other than being the "wet-ride" (everyday) capital of the country.
They do have Glacier Nat'l Park, though. Never been, but I understand that, with a little imagination, that'd be a hellluva coaster!

Honestly, no region is in DIRE need of coasters. I am very satisfied with what we have. I don't expects their to be coasters everywhere.

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
Oh yes. Yes, yes. They need--in a most dire fashion--some killer coasters in the Middle East. Then they could rise up to less bloody pursuits.

I can think of one state in the south that needs a coaster worse than any other state in the south. That would have to be Mississippi. EVERY other state in the south has a major coaster. Mississippi does not. Well, they don't have an amusement park either. I would say they are in desperate need of both. Jackson would be the perfect city to build an amusement park with coasters. There are many cities in America that are alot smaller than Jackson that have great amusement parks. Why can't Mississippi build one?
You're all lying ;) The "real" Midwest is in Dire need of coasters. Ohio can't be counted as the Midwest. Its not fair. (j/k) No, but really I think all the states between Ohio and Colorado are in dire need of coasters. Escpecially Iowa/Minnesota.
Come on guys where's the love??? ;)

I voted for the midwest because I thought that Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska, could use some coasters. Kind of like Randy, thats what I was thinking.

The Pacific NW does have one woodie at the Washington State Fairgounds in Pullyaup, but it only runs during the fair.

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
I voted for the midwest because that's where I live. I don't want to drive to other regions just to ride coasters. My thought is this, if their are no coasters in Lansing, then Lansing is in dire need of coasters. Because Lansing is in the midwest, then the midwest is in dire need of more coasters. Why should I care if california has enough coasters. California shouldn't have any coasters. They need to tear down all the coasters in California and rebuild in my hometown. My reasoning is sound, where's my medication.
