SFAW & destroy the place & what's worse letting all those coasters go to parks outside the chain & the scrapyard when they could go to other parks IN the chain instead....
All the other SF's came shopping at AW! If coasters are not going it's because no park wanted them. Our collection was old, odd, high maintanence, and not remarketable for the large part. When I think about a UTwister, Batman, I can undestand other parks not wanting them.
I am surprised however no one chose Greezed Lightning. *** Edited 11/10/2005 4:56:46 PM UTC by Markieb***
They're probably biding their time trying to find a way to skirt out of their contractual obligation, which incidentally requires them only to rebuild what insurance will cover - and they've estimated their insurance on the place to only be $30m. I'm not sure they can really get the park back to how it was for $30-$35m, we're getting reports that Megazeph is possibly too damaged to repair short of basically rebuilding it. Even if they only spent their $5m deductable out of pocket, it would take the park three years to recoup just that much. My impression is that they've shelved SFNO as a problem for future management to deal with if they can't get out of the contract.
If they can't find a buyer for Greezed Lightnin, maybe SFNO is an opportunity, but reliable reports have informed me that as of present the ride is on the market and SF is trying to get a little $$ out of it rather than reinstall.

SFA gets treated just fine. You make me laugh. Just because they haven't gotten a coaster in 5 years means nothing. Lots of parks don't. Most parks clearly don't have as good of a coaster lineup as good as what SFA has. But the 3 years SF INC was in spending mode SFA got not 1 or 2 coasters but FIVE.
Actually i just checked RCDB and in 1995 both SFA and PCW got a Vekoma SLC. So I will compare my homepark with yours. Which Park has recieved more coasters since then? SFA wins with a whopping 6. ALL the coasters except ONE SF has put into your park(as of now). PCW has gotten 4 since 1995 and 2 of them are kiddie coasters. *** Edited 11/9/2005 5:24:26 AM UTC by j_o_e_y__***
You mean 5 as Roar was planned in advance well before the premier parks plan to even purchase SF was initiated & yes it is a big deal when two of SFA's competing parks have installed at least two coasters (HP & PKD with SR & RS @ HP & Ricochet & IJ:SC @ PKD) while SFA has installed nothing new in the themepark section but a single waterslide attraction & has since effectively lost 3 flat rides(one due to a safety flaw) & the other two to poor maintenance six years without a new coaster when other SF parks(the same ones) get them every two years isn't right.

I said five. I said in 3 years after six flags aquired the park they installed not 1, not 2 but 5 coasters. Re-read my post. Anyways, your really obsessed with YOUR home park not getting a coaster and everytime anyother park gets one all you do is say 'WHY IS SFA NOT GETTING ONE, WE'RE SO NEGLECTED". Heck, there is MANY parks that haven't recived coasters in 6+ years and they are still up and running, if you want to ride a new coaster why don't you just drive to another park?

Nice try with the word play, but obviously nobody is buying it. Premier Parks and Six Flags today are ONE IN THE SAME. They are the SAME COMPANY. Do you not get that?
