Las Vegas

What is your favorite coaster in Las Vegas?
The Canyon Blaster. Actually, Desperado is good, and Speed is outstanding. I can visit and not ride the Manhattan Express and the Hi Roller and not lose sleep over it.
Out of Canyon Blaster, High Roller, and M. Express, I would say Canyon Blaster. It was extremely smooth and a lot of fun. I rode M Express in the front and it was fairly rough but still enjoyable.

In my favorites department, I would have to say Desperado, but I found Canyon Blaster more re-rideable. High Roller was closed :-(
When I go there in April I will for surely go on Canyon Blaster.
Hi-Roller is a joke! The Disney Mickey Mouse Train is more fun.

M. Express, was $10 last time I went, and they wouldn't let me wait for the front, so I got a refund! I've never been on it, despite visiting Vegas five time since it was built. My room in the NYNY hotel even overlooked the thing!

Desperado is excellent, and by far the best ride in the area, although I haven't ridden Speed yet.

are you ready to go vertical?...V2 2001...
I'm going to cast my vote for Speed:TR, despite the nasty reputation that Premire coasters carry, i'm looking forward to the next one I ride.
I like all of them. Desparado, The Canyon Blaster, Speed, and The Manhattan Express. I don't understand why people hate the M express so much. I rode it twice in the front, and although it was a favorite I found it better than alot of other coasters I have ridden. Sure it may have been better with a better company building it, buts it far from horrible. My least favorite is the High Roller. Whats the point of that? Its dumb. My favorite ride there was actually The Big Shot. Thats it the most intense scariest ride I have ever ridden. I love it.
My vote would have to go to Canyon Blaster as well. I feel that this coaster is a very underrated ride as it features a smooth ride, an excellent pop of airtime before the corkscrew section, and concludes with a nice, tunelled helix. I also like the trains as they are nearly identical to the ones that once ran on Drachen Fire, only without the cool red strip lighting. The theming is also pretty nice as the train wraps around the top of a man-made mountain at the top of the lift and if you look closely, you'll see one of the animated dinosaurs when cruising through the corkscrew. Speed is also a very good ride, and is uncharacteristically smooth for a Premier coaster. However, the single ride cost of $8 is a bit on the pricey side. Of course, Manhattan Express is even costlier at $10 a ride and that coaster isn't quite worth a $10 admission fee. It's not a bad ride, but there's just not much of interest to me aside from the heartline twist. I agree about High Roller. The ride is slow and unexciting, but you can't help but be a little unnerved being over 900 feet in the air.

I recently took a spin on Speed: the Ride. I thought it was great. Fast, smooth, and fun. Looked like it would jerk me around at the beginning, but I left the station euphoric. Vegas Baby!

It's a toss up for me between Desperado and Speed:TR. Both are awesome, I just wish they were not 40 miles apart.

Big Shot is a must ride. High Roller is really a lousy ride; I'd ride it for the count and view only. Speed is the best ride out there, although only 45 seconds long. The second set of LIMs that push it up to 70+ MPH are a real kick. And no matter what everybody says about Manhatten Express, go ride it. There's coupons all over for it. Look for the two-for-one and do one in the front and one in the back. Then I recommend at least four rides on Desperado, simply so you can learn when to expect the jolts it gives you on the first couple rides and then ride defensively and enjoy the last couple. Canyon Blaster is good, too, but remember it is really just a smooth Arrow looper. *** This post was edited by Lifthill310 on 2/27/2001. ***
