Largest Toboggan Chute?

I'm so there! Thanks RCG! I never knew about them, but them being at Bearcreek makes a lot of sense :) My friend Nancy here at work was telling me about it. She didnt think about it till I told her the name of the place. She says Bearcreek has been in canton a LONG time. She was telling me about the horse-drawn carriage rides and the old steak house that used to be there (or still could be she doesnt know). I really am going to go now!

What I wouldn't give to see Paul McCartney in concert...

There used to be one at Eagles Mere near Williamsport, PA. I believe a local fire company would build it by cutting blocks of ice out of the lake and building the chute down the hill. I rode it one time about 10 years ago. I believe you could pay by the hour.

It got shut down a few years ago because they were being forced to get insurance. With paying the insurance operating the slide wouldn't have been worthwile so they did away with it. Bummer. :(

Well, according to my school planner, several parks in Milwaukee have toboggan slides. Specifically, those parks are Brown Deer, Dretzka, Whitnall, and Wilson. All of those parks have rental toboggans, too.

I just might have to try some of those out during Christmas Vacation!
