I've heard the dark ride is pretty cool, but I haven't been fortunate enough to make it to the park yet.
Just a side note, at SFEG there is a mural of "Denver landmarks" outside the Pepsi Drink Zone, or whatever it is called, by TurboBungy. One of those landmarks happens to be Lakeside's tower.

I wonder what the dark ride is like, and who they purchased it from. Sally possibly?

TOGO!
I was thinking the same thing PT300. I thought the park was really getting low on money due to the fact that it is never crowded and the general shape the park is in. But from the looks of it, the park is getting a lot better. They have recently repainted the Cyclone and that looks a lot better. I also noticed that they put some "ship" cars on the ride that is like Turn of the Century at SFEG(not sure of the official name.) They rebuilt the whip and added the two new rides this year. The park is really looking better.
And they do have a lot of space to add new rides. If they would just tear down that old race track in the parking lot, they could add a good size woodie provided the funding is there. It could be like the old Elitchs...
Here is the name...Flight to Mars...here is something I found on one of these rides...

It looks like it was manufactured by Schwartzkoph.

It really saddens me to think on my visit to Lakeside last year I only got a ride on the coasters, and didn't take the time to absorb the old-park experience. I practically ignored the flats!
Oh well, it's great that they're growing a little. These new attractions should hopefully revive some interest in the park, and keep it alive.
