Lakeside 5/20

Associated parks:
None

I've lived my whole life in Colorado and never been to Lakeside. Today was the day. The drive was about 45 minutes long. We got free parking and headed on in. There was an ACE meeting at the Cyclone at 11:15 a.m. They let us have the coaster to ourselves until 12:00.
The Cyclone is a great, classic woodie. It has no head rests, no seat dividers, and has very comfortable seats. In all I got 15 laps on it. Cyclone is cool because it is half twister, half out and back. The first half starts with some good drops and twists around. Then it switches into out and back mode and heads towards the lake. Then it turns around and heads back to the station. Cyclone has some good airtime and good bunny hills. A very fun ride.
Next we went to the Wild Chipmunk coaster. It's a steel wild mouse coaster that's really fun. There are four trains that are made for two passengers each. Each train has a name painted on the side: Alvin, Chip, Theodore, and Simon. I got three laps in all on this one, two on Simon and one on Theodore. This little ride sure whips you around. Very fun!
After that we did some spinning rides and the Dragon (kiddie) coaster. After a ride on the spider (spin&barf) we wern't feeling good so we went home.
Just 2 1/2 hours at the park, but it was perfect. I had a great time.
