Lakemont Park sued by county for roller coaster neglect

Leap the Dips, a National Historic Landmark at Lakemont Park, has been closed since 2023. The county argues that the over 100-year-old roller coaster has not been properly maintained by the Lakemont Partnership, and it claims that the park therefore broke its 2006 lease agreement.

I have been waiting for this to happen for some time. Somewhere along the line I would wager that there were some palms greased that let this situation evolve.
