Lakemont Park 8/14/08(Short)

We went to Lakemont Park for a day of fun and their weekly wing off event. This is a great Park for the admission price. Leap the Dips and Skyliner were running well. We rode of them both multiple times. I can’t imagine Leap the Dips in 1902. This coaster is just plain fun. The wing off event started at 5:00 P.M and went to 9:00 P.M. This is great idea and event that includes great wings and music. Lakemont seems to be growing in attendance and atmosphere every year I’ve went. I spoke briefly with Barry Kumpf and told him what great job he and his team are doing. Lakemont is a great value with friendly employees. Way to go Lakemont.

Thanks for posting about your day at Lakemont and thanks for the kind words! It was nice to be able to speak with you for a few minutes. I am very glad that you enjoyed your visit and that you stayed for the "Wing Off". It's funny, I had just mentioned to my wife at the breakfast table this morning that I had spoken with you on Thursday and that you had shared with me that you were going to come on our bargain day (Wednesday $3.00)...yea that's right.....$3.00....that's not a typo, but decided to wait and pay the outrageous (tongue in cheek) proce of $9.95 on Thursday and avoid the large crowd that was here on Wednesday. Thanks again!
