Lakemont Park 2002????

Last night I saw a park show from about 99 (Great Old Amusement Parks on PBS). They had a short part about the opening of Leap the Dips and Lakemont in general. At the end of the show the one guy who worked restoring LTD said they were planning somthing for 2002.

Did anyone else hear anything or did those plans fall thru?

How much room do they have?

At ridefest a year ago (I think I think it was) someone from the park guiding tours of Skyliner said the owner was really wanting a log flume.  I think that would be a nice addition there.

This subject has come up before.  The craftsman interviewed said HE had something special for the park in 2002, not that the park itself had something special.  Perhaps he is restoring more cars for LTD??

I heard it also!! Glad to see I'm not the only one that sat there and played that over and over! I have no idea what this could be.....but I'd rather see them get higher capacity on Dips first! Every time I'm there, only ONE car running. Even on Saturdays!

That seems like the logical thing to me. First of all, the Furniture Guy isn't going to have any say in what the park gets, and second, he shouldn't have any clue what the park's getting in three years anyway.

It's almost got to be something with Leap-The-Dips. More cars running at a time is the most obvious choice... but can it handle more than one car at a time? Judging by the size of that station, I'd think so, but then again, it's not like the thing's got a midcourse brake run. ;)

Which leads me to think maybe that is the improvement. And I've just logic'd myself in a great big circle, so there you go.
