Lake Compounce water park construction underway

Construction is under way at Lake Compounce that will add a new water attraction and dramatically change the lakefront at the nation’s oldest amusement park. The Anchor Bay lazy river ride will accommodate up to 400 guests at a time.

Makes me wish that Pete would see the same value in adding new attractions to Sandcastle. The Blue Tubaluba slides (creative name, eh?) added last year were a welcome addition, yet are still more of the same. The park could really go somewhere if they added something new and unique to the area, such as a Master Blaster, family raft ride, etc. The closing of the ampitheater left them with plenty of room to expand.

Looks like the park is making some smart decisions. I especially like the expansion of the restaurant's porch for increased capacity and a better view of the lake.
I agree with you on that Moosh. That would be a welcome addition to the park. A good view never hurt anything.
