Has anyone been there yet this year for the Halloween events?
If so, is it as good as I've heard it is? How are the crowds and wait times and such? Other than the kiddie section being closed, are all the other rides open? I will be heading there on Saturday(weather permitting), and just want to know what to expect and also which attractions are a must.
I've been to the park before, so I know what to expect as far as the rides go. I'm really interested in the must see attractions for Halloween.

Yes was there last weekend and no question their Halloween celebration surpasses Six Flags' ... all the rides are open and, in fact, if you go for the rides early in the evening, right around dark, you'll find the lines very manageable! So many park guests are in the Haunted Graveyard.... Boulder Dash is UNbelievably good at night!!!
I was at the park on Sunday the 6th, and while I didn't do Haunted Graveyard, the park was deserted. There was maybe 50 people in the entire place. I camped out on the second car of BD for over an hour. It was kind of odd riding the top spin numerous times alone, but the op keep changing the program, so I rode until they seemed to repeat.
On the other hand, Six Flags in the afternoon was packed and most of the rides were running way below capacity (typical). I was there 4 hours and got three rides; 1 S:ROS, 1 B:TDK and 1 Cyclone.

The line for Haunted Graveyard is almost always long(2+ hours at times). The line for BD is hit or miss. I've been there during October when there's no line and also when they've had 2 trains running and the line out to the entrance. As for the rides, besides Kiddie Land, the train, trolley, rapids, sky ride, and possibly log flume will be closed. Tomorrow should be good as long as it doesn't rain too much. I'd suggest calling before you go if it's raining since they're known to close the park due to rain. I plan on being there Saturday and Sunday so maybe I'll see ya there.

Thank you all for your help. My chances of going look to be about 50% right now. 50% is also the forecast for rain at 5 pm in Bristol as I'm typing this. I guess I'll have to wait until noon before the final decision is made. I know that they don't open until 5, but is anybody answering phones there by noon to let me know if they will be open or not? I'd hate to drive all the way up there for nothing. Coming from South Jersey, it is a 3 hour ride.-----------------

I'm not sure if they'll know by noon. Given the drive you have, I wouldn't go unless they can give you a definite answer. We're going no matter what(coming from NJ too) since we have a hotel room and are going to SFNE and LC tomorrow as well. If they do open, we should be in for some excellent BD rides with little to no crowds. :-)
