Associated parks:
None

I arrived at the park around 11:20am. Only $6 for parking, hmmm Im happy already! When I got to the front gate, I gave the employee my internet ticket. The scanning machine wasn't working, so I stood there for 5 min, waiting for her to figure it out. I finally just pulled out my proof that I had purchased it and told them to just do i later. So I walked in, being a bit upset, but I cooled down quick with the free drinks around the corner!

First ride of the day, Boulder Dash of course! First time iv'e ridden it, and my reaction after a front seat ride; its good, but nothing special. I went for a second ride, the line only being about 15min long (only 1 train operation until about 4pm!). This time I rode in the very back seat. WOW!!! I immediatly took back what I had said! A+++++ ride!!!

I then grabbed some lunch at croc pot, a nice healthy wrap with some more free soda!! (did i mention that I love free soda!) Next was the relaxing part of the day.. at least for me.

I took the trolley from croc pot over and took a ride on sky ride. My parents freaked on that ride, meanwhile im doing everything in my power to make them even more scarred.

Next was the train. We rode it back down to the front of the park. I did my flat rides for the night when we got to the station. Did a ride on Drop Time, Wildcat, carousel, bumper cars, and a few others, then took another ride on the back of Boulder Dash.

Now it was time to get wet. We headed over to sawmill falls. About a 30min wait!!!! On the final drop, I was in the front of the log and managed to tuck my head bellow the front, getting my mom soaked!

We took a ride on Zoomerange, quite boring. I noticed on the map that right around the corner they had fried oreos! I had seen them on food network and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Well, I tried them and they were good.. but i think i'll stick with the plain fried dough.

We took another few rides on Boulder Dash. By this time it was almost 6:00 pm. My mom wanted to go on the haunted house. "Alright". We waited about 1/2 hour and finally got our ride. Now it was time for some major Dash time.

They now had the second train on Boulder Dash, so it was basically walk-ons from here out. From 6:40 to 7:20, I got about 6 rides on in! Damn!

My mom wasn't feeling too good, so we left the park around 7:30. Overall, it was an A+ day. Boulder Dash is probably my #2 woodie!

Was Down Time running?
Yep. And it was awsome, might I add.

Wow, I wish more parks had that attitude about running multiple trains. My homepark probably would keep running one until someone complains to a supervisor after the line got to be over an hour long. Lake Compounce sounds like an awesome park. I just saw a show on a local TV station and the park looks very scenic and traditional.

Seeing how parking is only $5 I wouldn't be too happy about that.

Nice trip report. I had to comment because Dream Theater is my favorite band...you obviously have good taste :)

Its sad that you never decided to venture up back to the front of the train. That is actually the better seat on Boulderdash if ya ask me, which you didn't.

Once the ride starts to roar, the front seats are the place to be. You also missed the best part of Boulderdash, night rides, but your mom wanted to leave and you did what was right. I personally would've stuck her in a hotel. ;)

Well, I'm still glad you loved Boulderdash. Its my numero uno coaster, front seat. Oh, and I love Free Soda! Hmm...it just always seems to taste better free.
