Lagoon has opened its Primordial roller coaster, which features nearly 2,000 feet of track. The ride starts outside of the mountain structure, before the trains go inside. There riders can use a “blaster”vto shoot at various targets on the 3-D video screens.

Dave Dragon, go Dave Dragon, and the Star Force Five!
I got several rides on Primordial during the ACE event a couple weeks ago. I was fairly impressed, as was pretty much everyone else I spoke with at the event. The ride hardware feels like something you would find on a big-budget attraction in Orlando. That said, the plot makes little sense, and the ride feels a little disjointed as the story doesn't really explain the transitions between the roller coaster parts and the dark ride parts.
* Spoilers *
The most interesting aspect of the ride is the ending. The track divides into two possible paths before the final battle scene. One path is a drop track, similar to what you would find on Wonder Mountain's Guardian or Verbolten. The other track is the far more interesting slide track, in which the track quickly slides down a ramp. The slide can be taken with the seats either rotated facing forwards toward the ramp or backwards away from the ramp. There are also at least two possibles for what plays out on the screen during this final battle, as it could involve either the dragon or the owl character. Therefore, there are six possible combinations for the finale, giving the ride a very high repeat value.
