Lack of guest consideration

Associated parks:
None

Just wanted everyone to realize what type of treatment they are apt to receive at Cedar Point. I took my son there yesterday, and we went on his first coaster ride...Woodstock's Express. Of course, CP has a camera on that one and I decided to buy the picture. The lady that waited on me was extremely rude and as if that wasn't bad enough - in putting together the keychain I purchased, she cracked it and told me she would NOT replace it. Later on in the day, we bought the "world-famous hand cut french fries". The fries were burnt, but cold and the cheese they put on top was cold as well. We each ate one fry before I took them back and the supervisor told me I had eaten too many and could not have them replaced or have my money back. Talk about a waste of over $7.00. I will continue to visit CP this year as I am a pass holder, but I will never spend another penny in that park.
I have found that it is normal for seasonal staff to get a little cranky at the end of the season. After dealing with large numbers of the general public for several months I can understand why they would be worn out, but it seems to be worse this year. The person selling us funnel cakes yesterday was downright mean.

A suggestion -- next time you have experiences like these, go to Operations or Guest Relations and fill out a complaint form.
I wholeheartedly agree with you Tim.Said employee may already be back at school, but a complaint on file may keep that person from being rehired next spring.
Maybe we should send printouts of some of threads to the parks, good or bad.

Possibly even e-mail their public relations people invitations to come online and pick up on some of our "buzz".

Rest assured, Cedar Point now knows about this thread.

2 words: Cedar Point(surprise surprise)
Yeah, I figure it must be the time of the season as well because when I went in August, I didn't really have any problems with anyone being rude. In fact as far as the ride operators go, things were not too bad. Better than I had expected anyway. The only real problem I had was at the sit down restaurants where it seemed each of our servers was from Russia and had just gotten there with only a crash course in English. They were nice enough, I just thought it was strange that they were just starting (the one girl told us so) with CP and it was near the end of the season.

Shady Z,

I had the same problem when I went to Vallyfair. Most of the employees were International, and didn't speak english all that well.
