This is a TR for all my 8 visits since the park opened this season.
No new rides this year, just a couple of esthetics changes. Maelstrom got repainted, the dark ride got a new sign on the outside and Boomerang was supposed to get repainted blue, but for some reasons, its was cancelled. Also, they added fans on the Dragon ( to make you feel its goes faster )and finally fixed the computer problem on Supermanege that kept it from running 2 trains. Monstre got rehabs on its 4 trains and they repainted the other 3 trains ( the black one was painted last year, its black with the drawing of a green monster on the front car and you see its body on the sides of the trains. ). One train is red with a demon on the front car, green with a monster jester and orange with a serpent man. Now on to the coasters:
Supermanege: Awful! Rough! The only saving grace is the 3 pops of airtime in the back car. Its a Vekoma Corkscrew with 2 six cars Arrow trains.
Dragon: An Intamin ( I'll check to see the company who build and designed it ) enclosed twister. Its got a long 12 cars train with a ratcheting lap bar for every row of seats ( 1 row of 2 passengers per car ). Too short, but got some ingenious special effects and is very twisted. The new fans helps a lot.
Boomerang: I rode 2 other Boomerangs ( Great Escape and Sea Serpent ) and they don't even come close of the intensity achieved by this one, the third to have been built ( in 1984, same year as the Sea Serpent ). Very smooth and fast.
Cobra: Its a Giovanola Stand-up that was originally built in 1988 at Summerland in Sweden. Its got a 87 feet lift hill, 75 feet drop and a max speed of 48 mph. Its a clone of Batman the Escape at SFAW. The loop is extremely intense ( normal, given its shape! ) and the camelback...... 2 to 3 seconds of air!
Monstre: Ahhh..... The reason I bought my pass....
