Kraken: Little known?

I personally think that Kraken is the most perfectly designed, engineered and constructed ride on the planet. Everything about that ride seems "just right". I truely belive that that ride delivers *exactly* the sensations it is supposed to give.

That being said, it is only my #2 floorless, behind S:KC. I think that is mostly because S:KC is odd with the cliff wall and that strange helix. But make no doubt, Kraken is a damn fine coaster. In my top 10.

The world's next Miss Universe?

Hear hear Jeremy. Kraken is in my top ten as well, which really isn't saying much since my track record is a measly 91... ;)

Adix, I don't consider Batman:The Ride as good as their other creations. When riding Diavlo, the ride is great but when it proceeds Alpengeist, Top Gun, Pyrenees, Montu, Orochi, it was to no compare as thrilling. Not to say the B:TRs aren't great rides, but I still believe that there were better options for a coaster in that space.

I rode it all day when I was at Seaworld. Its all there is to do there if you want thrills but it sure kicks ass.

Such a smooth, intense, even airtime, and extremely reridable ride.

Its the only floorless I've been on though so I can't compare but I'm sure its at the top!

:::loud applause!!:::

FINALLY Kraken is recognized! I have been on both Medusa floorlesses, Kraken, BKF, and B:TDK. Kraken is my fav EASILY of those and is also my favorite coaster in Florida. Those who say B&Ms are forceless....what are you talking about? This thing really was pulling Gs everytime i rode it (notably the bottom of the cobra roll before the block). Of course ill have to also mention it having the best. heartline. ever. My legs would literally fly over a foot higher than the seat in front of me! I also love the ending a lot because its not your typical interlocking flatspin ending....its much different. I could go on and on about this ride. I have been on 287 coasters, and of the steel coasters i have ridden (somewhere around 200-220) this is my #7 coaster. The 6 steel coasters I like more are hypers/gigas also making Kraken my favorite looping coaster. If you havent ridden Kraken yet, get out to SWO and try it out (back row right side, or front row) also dont forget to check out the other shows and atttactions as SWO is a great place to visit!

PS...If you are 21 or older go to the hospitality house and get yourself a free Doc Otis Hard Lemon freeze...mmmm! Now why cant regular bars have those???

I think that is totally untrue. In terms of floorless coasters, Kraken is one of the best because I have been on most in the US. I did think that Kraken's heartline corkscrew/barrel roll was better than Scream!'s If you are thinking about scary coasters, then you might as well go for the stand ups - (X didn't impress me) Although I think the best is yet to come. But in terms of floorless coasters, think again, you are not the only one that has ridden a lot of coasters. I am at 100 and pick and choose.
Did Pink Floyd Fanatic get a new name or is it just me?

Top Thrill Dragster -- The most intense, unbelievable, and spectacular fifteen seconds on any coaster, anywhere, ever.

I've never stuck around in Sea World until the late night fireworks but I might next month. Kraken is usually a walk-on right when the park opens then builds up a line in late-morning and early afternoon. Is the ride a walk-on by the end of the day? With 10pm closings every night next month I'm trying to see if it's worth going if I should head out at night if I can't be there in the morning.
Swoosh - I have been on Krypton Coaster many times, and the only thing that I thought was better about it was the fact that it was in a mine and did that little helix out of the mine and went back in again. I thought the barrel roll on Kraken was much better. And I have been on 100+ roller coasters many in Japan, and everything still wows me. You just have to remember that everything is different and take it for what it is. If you are a true coaster lover, you will most likely find every coaster fun as long as it doesn't hurt you (ie Vekoma SLCs). That is my way of looking at things. I know that is just your opinion and I am cool with that, I am just expressing my argument with you. You are entitled to your opinion just as much as I am, I just disagree.
When I rode Kraken, it was late in the day after a near-hurricane level downpour blew through the park. It was so bad they forced us all into buildings (I was in the shark area) and wouldn't even let us near the doors.

They had to wait for the storm to pass away a certain distance before they woud let us ride, but then ride we (my wife and I) did. I forget now just how many rides we got that evening and night, but I know it was at least 5 or 6 if not more.

At any rate, we rode it both in the light, and also at night in the dark, and it was even more awesome at night than in the light. So I definitely reccomend riding it at night if you get the chance. I think that experience is part of what made it such an awesome ride in my mind. Day = Great! Night = Awesome!

Take care and God bless!
