Knott's/CP New Ride Connection?

Just curious. I absolutely can't wait to find out what Knott's is going to get. Since CP will probably be getting an impulse, and rumor has it that Knott's is getting something from Intamin, would it be way off base to suggest that they receieve the same thing in 2002?

Knott's is a full circuit launcher(which they really need), while CP's is a shuttle(from what I understand).

I was thinking of something: (which I know I shouldn't do because it hurts! ;)) I've seen the photos of the footers at CP, are we positive this is an impulse? Would CP want to build an impulse coaster when SFWoA has one about an hour away? How about a shuttle from, say Vekoma? Like their Hammerhead Stall coaster that's been seen on their website? Just a thought...probably not even close to what CP is getting. Anyways, :)

As far as competition, didn't Geauga Lake and CP both have Arrow loopers?

Anyway, the space is pretty small at Knott's. Then again, remove the lift and you save a lot of space.

Yes. They both still do and both corkscrews were put in within a few years of each other.

The space is small, but not really that small.
For those who are familiar with Knotts, the space is all the way from the very back of the park to Supreme Scream.
Kind of a long, semi-thin plot of land.
I don't really think CP and KBF are getting the same thing.
Besides, we aren't exactly sure what either is getting.

Yes, both parks do have Arrow loopers, but then again you could say that both parks have wooden coasters, junior coasters, B&M coasters, etc. What I was thinking was why would CP want to build something that you can already find an hour away? I just think that CP logically would want to bring in something unique to the area, something that their competition can't boast. I can just imagine Six Flags marketing, "Sure, CP's impulse coaster is larger, but ours was the first, and larger doesn't always mean better" or something to that effect. Just my two cents. Of course, my two cents don't mean diddly-squat! ;)

Either way, I think WOA will have a difficult time playing catch-up with a park that has been bigger longer...er...let's keep in mind that this IS a family site! ;)

And I don't know, nearby parks copy each other all the time. Heck, DL did it to Knott's! And I think that bigger does make it unique.

Anyway, I can't wait to find out what I'm going to be riding all next year! ;)

LOL! Yeah, this is a family site. ;) You are right in that parks do copy each other sometimes. Either way, whatever CP gets should be awesome. And bigger does make it unique in a certain aspect. I guess I'm just hoping for something that's never been seen. I'm sure whatever CP gives us will be awesome though! I can't wait to hear what Knott's has up it's sleeve for us either! :)
