Knott's VertiGo opening delayed

Of come on beastnum1, let's not make Cedar Fair out to be saints. They run a business, and one of their business decisions, namely to open the worlds steepest boat ride, may have cost a woman her life.

Hey why didn't you guys tell me Knotts got a new ride called Extreme Scream ;)? Anyways, thats nice of them. (Begin edit) Is this ride the same hieght as CP's VertiGo and SFMM's Thrill Shot- because in the article, it says the towers are 320' not 280', like I've heard of the other two(End edit).

Well this gives some time for Knott's to find out what happened on Friday night. They don't have to worry about the opening of VertiGo, since they announced that the ride opening will be delayed.

I was there today (9/25/01) and workers were riding, including me. I think its opening to public tomorrow

To answer MF's question, she stood up about 1/4 of the way down. She unbuckled her seatbelt, and stood up. I hope that Vertigo opens in time for Scary Farm because I'm going soon, and I want to ride it, no matter the cost (22$, right?).

Mr G-lix:  The towers are not 320'....after launch the ride vehicle rises above the tops of the towers to a height of 320'.  I rode Supreme Scream Saturday facing the Verti-Go towers and at the top of Supreme you are about the same height as the Verti-Go towers.

SFMM Lover:  How do you know she stood up?  I have not seen that as fact.  She was a 40 year old woman riding with her three kids...doesn't sound like the type to do something careless.
