Knott's Berry Farm has released details about the ERT and speakers that will be at the 3rd Annual Winter Coaster Solace. The day will include ERT on Ghostrider, Supreme Scream, Montezooma's Revenge, Boomerang and all the other favorites. With speakers later in the day coming from CCI, Intamin and S&S Power to name a few. The day will end with ERT on Ghostrider in the dark! (Please keep in mind all schedules are subject to change.) [Ed. note: You must be a member of a coaster club to attend. Join CoasterBuzz Club for $20 here!]

Xcelerator construction is moving along rapidly thanks to some wonderful weather in Southern California. Framing for footers and caps are being placed and they should be ready to pour the concrete any day now.

California Adventure's construction projects are also covered.

So, I take it that the train is now closed until the ride is done?

Also, It looks to me like they are using piles on the footers, is this true, or are they going to use spead footers?

Yes, the train is closed... and I'd imagine it'll be until the ride is finished due to the placement of all that stuff.

Jeff: Is there still time to join Club Coasterbuzz and still get into KBF's WCS?

Well I just e-mailed you so I can get my card ASAP so e-mail me back ok. Thanks Jeff
I doubt that the train is out of commission for the full length of construction. It's one of their big ticket items. I'm willing to say that once those footers are done, the train should open back up again. However, it will probably close back down for a bit when those supports are being put up.

Steve-

I would imagine the train will be down a while... since that'll be one of the only places they'll be able to stick a crane!
