Knott's questions

Platinum Pass perks like ERT on this Thursday. That's funny.

I don't think some get what the "off season" weekdays mean in Southern California. Basically- the entire park will be yours to enjoy all by yourself! I think that sums it up.

There will be so few people there that you will probably be able to re-ride at will without exiting the rides. If you go non-stop, stay from opening to closing, and don't waste any time you could probably get on over 60 total rides. When I was there in Oct. I got on 53 total rides in 7 hours.

My mother (1946-2009) once asked me why I go to Magic Mountain so much. I said I feel the most alive when I'm on a roller coaster.

Haha you guys are right. I had no idea what to expect, as it's my first real trip in California ever. The park was empty yesterday. I was planning on staying all day, but at about 2:30 I was content with the absurd amount of rides I'd already gotten in so I decided to leave early.

I call Cedar Point my home park even though I live in the Chicago Suburbs.

Glad it worked out well for you. You can't beat days like that. If you were there at 10:00 you ended up with about 4 1/2 hours of ERT afterall.

Quick question.. I'm actually also going to be vacationing in San Diego this week, and I'm planning to visit Knott's on Thursday. Do they have platinum pass perks, like morning ERT and such? I tried searching their web site but came up with nothing. Thanks in advance for the help :)

No perks except for the usual-free parking and entry! Ride Silver Bullet for me I LOOOOOVED that ride!! :)

Also the traffic wasnt too bad for me when I went--if you hit traffic most of it will get off an exit before you heading for Disney. The speed limit signs on Ca freeways are just suggestions btw. If you expect to keep up with the traffic better stay between 75-85mph. I made it home from Disney's Adventure (122 miles) in 1.5 hours!

Man I miss Cali I so did NOT want to leave!! Ive been actually searching job sites to see if I could find a job out there. Im done with this crappy weather. The last time I saw the sun? Monday in San Diego and then in Houston for my connecting flight. No sight or hair of it since. SUCKS! :(

I could easily say bye bye to CP and Raptor forever if I moved to California or even Florida.

Yeah Silver Bullet really is amazing. I made sure to get several rides on that before I left haha. I love love love the lack of trims :) And that overbanked turn is incredible.

Thanks Jo. I get on other people's cases for being lazy...shame on me for not checking the TR forum. Glad you had a good time. I'm off to read it now :)
