Knott's ops director wins tourism award

Mike Gornik, director of operations services at Knott's Berry Farm, earned the 2004 Walter Knott award for providing the best example of service in the tourism industry. He was one of 23 people honored by the Orange County Tourism Council. He helped a family get two flat tires replaced after leaving the park.

The service industry could use more people like Mr. Gornick. I am a little surprised Knott's has enough room to lease space to a Ford dealer but it sure worked out.
