Knott's Montezooma's Revenge - Paintjob

Since it opened in 1978, Montezooma's Revenge (Knott's famous Schwartzkopf shuttle-loop) has been coated with a yellow color scheme - track, supports, and all.

But as NOW, it being painted a green color, of which shade I do not know, but those who have seen it in the past few days know what color it is. This paint job follows the ride's annual rehabilitation which began just awhile ago.

This is odd as this is the third ride at Knott's recently to recieve a brand new paint scheme. Parachute Sky Jump Tower, Perilous Plunge, and now Montezooma's Revenge. Could be Jack Falfas trying to spice up the farm's look? Quite possibly.

Wow this is good news...as a huge fan of the Schwarzkopf shuttles, I am glad to see this one in top shape. I've heard it gives a better launch than the others too.....this is a flywheel model correct? Anyone have pics of the new paint?

Yes Arrow Guy, this is a flywheel, and is one of the best launch of all of them! (I give second place to "Shuttle Loop" at Nagashima Spaland.)

Maybe there re-theaming it, since like they took out that little dragon in front.

Or maybe they're just cleaning up the "dragon", repainting it, or fixing it up with new LEDs to accomadate the "new" look to the ride.

How can you re-theme Montezooma's Revenge, there wasn't much theming to it, besides the architecture... (and the dragon.)

I hope they bring back the dragon, I don't know why I like it, but I do!

Word is the supports will match the orange/red color on the vehicles. The green is a match for the green on the cars, and the rails will be painted yellow. And yes they are bringin back the dragon in all it's glory.
