Knott's finishes demolition work on Windjammer

Posted | Contributed by James Disney

Knott's Berry Farm has pretty much wrapped up demolition work for Windjammer in preparation for the new ride. They are also preparing to install VertiGo with most of the tower sections now on site.

A few bits from The Disneyland Resort are also included as they prepare for Christmas and the closing of an old favorite attraction: The Country Bear Jamboree.

I loved Windjammer, but it was a good coaster to get a headache on. I hope the new ride there will be good. As for the Country Jamboree, I loved that thing as a kid, and will be sad when it's gone, but I think the stupid thing about what they want to do there now is build a Pooh dark ride there. Now how stupid is that?
I remember the Country Bear Jamboree, but from Disneyworld as opposed to Disneyland. But even old classics do have to make way for the, uh, new I guess. I suppose it's a comparable experience, in terms of age group and stuff. I wonder if they'll reuse the props on the new attraction.

It would be interesting if a big coaster came to KBF in Windjammer's place.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Knott's announces now, won't we?

I hate the feeling of anxiousness when you're waiting for news such as this.
