Knott's continues destruction of Windjammer

Posted | Contributed by James Disney

Knott's Berry Farm has been moving along with the removal of Windjammer. The ride's brake run and loops are now gone, the last loop (red side) being pulled down in the early morning hours on July 31st. Sadly, we arrived a little late and they were cutting it up as we got to the work site. Work is also being done, dismantling Wipeout and preparing it for transfer to it's new home next to the Sky Cabin. They have also re-opened Headspin in Wild Water Wilderness as the "Wilderness Scrambler". It's all over at WestCoaster.net!

Wish I could buy a piece of that track for my backyard
Windjammers really comming down hard. They're really ripping it up. Its kinda sad to see a coaster go down that young and that hard. :(

SFMM went from Amusment Park to Xtreme Park. They skipped Theme park :)
its getting paid back for all the damage it did to us.
well, im glad the coasters going down so that they should build a hyper coaster. thats what knotts neads. they already have a tower drop ride, so y r they building vertigo??. same with CP.but then, the more coasaters the better, and they have a varitey of tower drop riders and six flags should destruct freefall and build something like, Supreme Scream. and they should've made thrill shot like vertigo, so u have 3 different ways of falling back down, indtead of just nose-diving back down. they should also take down cyclone, and get a new wooded coaster.(that would be funny if they made a wood looping coaster, but it would never happen. theres only 1 more coaster i want SFMM to have, a flying dutcman coaster. that would be awesome
Get rid of FREEFALL? NO WAY!

"ok everyone go ahead and pull down on your shoulder restraint so you feel nice and stuck!"
I cant believe that you people are getting four new attractions at the mountain this year, and yet you keep saying "i want this","i want that","they should do this"
be happy with what youve got already
and btw, if you want a flying dutchman, go to pga; the mountain is crowded as it is already

Dont Mess with the Neon Love Chicken :)
A wooded coaster? Never heard of that one. ;)

Maybe I ain't so shy!
Why is Windjammer being torn down in the first place? What was wrong with it?
okay, you have obviosly never ridden on the that peice of S**t they should call it Neckjammer. I can't wait until that waste of space is gone. I have a season pass to Knotts so im glad to see all pf the changes, going on at knotts, They should put a flying dutchman coaster in to match the boardwalk themeing in that area of the park
Actually the ride's roughness was not a primary reason for removal. I recently made a post about the troublesome trip this ride took Knott's on for the past 4 years.
wont miss WINDJAMMER

R.I.P
even though it isnt a great ride it is sad to see any coaster go
I'm with baddboy. Freefall is one of the scariest rides in the park. No way should it be removed.
Alway sad to see a Coaster go but if its too make way for something bigger and badder then ...

THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN!!!!!! ;)

Windjammer had a really ironic name. The park was unhappy that it couldn't operate in very slight windy conditions, 5 mph winds were enough to cause a stall.
Has this coaster been sold, is it for sale, or is it just gonna sit and collect dust?

Everybody loves me, and I intend on keeping it that way.
