Knott's Berry Farm worth a day?

I'm planning on a trip to California this September and wonder if Knott's Berry Farm is worth a visit.

What do you all think? As far as i've seen there are only two or three unique coasters there - and the whole park seems more the family-style to me.

Don't get me wrong, nothing against that, but what does that park offer besides? Flat rides, fun, shows, themeing, etc....Because it's a very long distance to us flying there from europe we have to use our time very careful...

Any helping in this decision would be very useful to me.

If Knott's was only one flatride and Ghostrider, it would STILL be worth the price of admission. By ALL means, if you love coasters and are in the area, go to Knott's.

Just looking at your track record, I see no CCI coasters there. Ghostrider would be a great way to fix that problem!

I think it is worth a visit to Knotts. Ghostrider is amazing and they have all these other exciting thrill rides like Perilous Plunge, Supreme Scream, Montezoomas Revenge, etc. It is one of the best small parks out there.

I'm like you IngKing. I assume you don't have kids so the family part doesn't matter.

Yes, KBF is worth the visit. GhostRider is worth the price of admission all by itself. SupremeScream is awesome and the other rides are worth going on.

I went there last year alone and it only took me about 3 hours to do all the rides since I didn't care about shows and the "family" stuff. Ghostrider was the longest line, do this one first.

I'm also flying out there in September. I'd say to arrive at KBF early in the morning when it opens. Go on Ghostrider a few times, then do the other rides. You'll have the rest of the afternoon to do something else. Me, I went to the mountain observatory near the Hollywood sign and looked at the city, it was cool.
SFMM will take an entire day, plan on that. But KBF can be done in half a day for the non "family" person.

I would highly recomend going to Knotts. In my opinion it is one of the best parks out there. It has one of the best wooden coasters: Ghostrider and Montozuma's Revenge is way fun. Supreme Scream is amazing. Though I didn't ride Perilous Plunge it looks awesome.

There are many other good things to see and do while there. It has some good dark rides. The Mystery Lodge show is very unique.

All in all I think it would be a good descision to go to this great park.
