Knott's Berry Farm on Travel Channel

Cedar Point was founded as a resort in 1870. What we're discussing is "themed" attractions rather than traditional amusement parks.
There's a difference between a theme park (Knott's, Disneyland) and a traditional style amusement park (Cedar Point, Dorney Park).
True, there is a difference, but I know that many people (including media) use the word synonymously. Thus stating that such-and-such park was an older themepark may be incorrect, but it's not necessarily what the person meant in the first place.

I agree with what was stated before.. if we can't even decide if an inclined dive loop is an inversion (or even if it's not just a fancy name for an overbank), I think it's hopeless to come to a real determination as to the difference between theme- and just amusement- parks.
