And so it begins. By this time of year, you all know what that means. What a pleasant surprise I had this evening when I saw what looks like the beginning of maze construction for Halloween Haunt 2000! The preparations for this year's spooky excitement have started next to Windjammer's station, and I wouldn't be surprised if work moves very quickly. Early words from the Farm tell of a Haunt that will be a biggie - much more so in years past. As always, Bear-yTales.com plans on providing you the reader with the excellent Haunt coverage you've come to expect, starting with the excitement of construction. It's daylight now in the world of the Haunt, but soon enough that will all change. October is right around the corner. Even though it's summer now, the streets of Ghost Town will be filled with the screams of the Haunt before we know it, and blood curdling screams will once again fill the air over Knott's Scary Farm. Getting exited yet?
They do such a wonderful job of this every year. This is by FAR my favorite park to be at in October!
I wanted to say that I loved the first time I went to a Halloween Haunt but when I went again last year I was disappointed. There was just way to many people packed into that park (and there wasn't anywhere close to that many the first time I went to this). You had to push your way through most of the park. They always do great stuff at the Haunt but when there are more people then there should be it makes it very hard to enjoy it and feel safe. I hope this year will be better when it comes to that cause we didn't get to do a few of the things we wanted to last year. I do think they by far do the best stuff for Halloween. I went to one at Universal Studios about 2 yrs ago and it was not as expected. They had way to much to do in a short period of time and it was impossible to do so we missed out on alot of the things going on but what we did see (or should I saw could see through all the "fog") was not that great.

Unfortunately this is what happens when a special event becomes too popular. It would be wise for them to look into limiting the gate, perhaps presales only. When it gets that crowded it's no fun for anyone.
When I emailed Knott's abotu this I told them that that is what they should do and how it isn't any fun. Waiting for a reply from them still.
