Well, Just got back home from a short and surprising trip to Knott's Berry Farm. My dad just said "You're going to Knoot's now." and we left! I only had 5 hours (1-6) but it was one of the best trips ever there. Perilous Plunge was closed with no water:( so that sucked. But all in all, Great Day to go. I got there at 1:00 in the afternoon and went straight for Ghostrider. To my shock, it was only a 15 minute long line! The shortest I have EVER seen it in the afternoon. We got first row on the second car(2 trains were working.) That rocked. A Ton of air time! After we got off and looked at our picture, we went to Hammerhead. Right when we got there, it broke! So me and my little bro went to Boomerang. Practically walk on. Last Row, the best. After we got off, and my head was back to normal, we walked, well, ran back to Hammerhead to go on it since it reopened in like 5 minutes. It couldn't dock. My little brother's first time on it. That ride keeps you in TIGHT! That was also really great. Got off that and went to Wipeout were I chatted with a couple from London, England about Alton Towers. TThey have the coolest accent. Did that ride backwards which is a must do. Got off that and headed toward Headspin. When I was in line, I asked the ride op what they are building next. He told me a stand-up coaster near the now defunct Haunted Shack, R.I.P, and a Inverted coaster at the site of the also now defunct Windjammer. I was shocked to hear that! They drained out the water in the little pond under Windjammer BTW. And also, They are almost done with the Oil Tower for Perilous Plunge, Cool logo. Back to riding, after Headspin we went and got one of those GREAT TASTING shakes near Boomerang. After we finished those, we went to Supreme Scream and got a great view of Ghostrider and Soak City U.S.A from the blue tower on seats 7 and 8. Got off that and I decided to go on Tantric? Tumbler. Never seen it go so while in line, faced the other way so it would be a surpirse. Let me tell you IT WAS. You get within an inch of the other car it looks like. A must ride next time. Off to Montezooma's Revenge, I was wearing my Steel Phantom shirt and I saw someone with a Penguins shirt so I asked him if he had gone on SP and he said yes and that he loved my shirt. We got front row and we went while Jaguar was going through the loop. A first time for me. That was cool waving to the peeps on Jaguar. Got off that and went on Jauar front row. That really isn't that bad of a coaster. Off to Ghostrider again. We decided to get back row and it was the best choice of my life! On the way up the lift hill, I was looking back at the chain and my brother said "lets look back the whole way" So we did and it was CRAZY! You HAVE to do that sometime. It's even scarier than looking to the front. Our on-ride picture was us with our heads back. That was THE BEST RIDE EVER! After that we went back to Boomerang and got front row as our last ride of the day. Not a long trip, but one of the best trips I have ever gone to KBF in a looooonnnnnggg time.

Dude, I was there today too. Overall, not nearly as crowded as I thought it was going to be. I found a new appreciation for the 5th car on Ghostrider. I thought you had to be in the 6th or 7th car to get the best airtime. The 5th gives you airtime going up the hills and down the hills. I just hadn't tried it before. I think I'm hooked on that car. Anyway, nice report, although I really wonder about the standup...I thought those were sort of obsolete now...the invert would be nice, though :)
There is a little something to be found in all of the seats on Ghostrider. "THE DROP" is still best in the back. If they'd only lose the darn belts, buckle always smacking me in the gut behind the bar. Hey Cedar Fair bring us a nice quiet Talon variation, clone if you're looking to save money.

They're painting the bottom of the splashdown lagoon blue like the color of the run-out and drop chute. I'm sure it will make the ride look more "white-water beach" like and tropical. They are also working on the water pumps and replacing the upstop track on the drop because of the incredible forces exerted by the boats coming down at 77.8ยบ. So that's just to inform you about why Perilous Plunge is down.
Glad you had fun! I was actually working on June 3rd. Maybe I saw you?? I was at the Buffalo Nickel Arcade. Did you happen to stop by? Anyway, a standup and an inverted? Not so sure about that one. YOu were there, do you or anyone else actually think there is room for a coaster where the haunted shack was? No way! The railroad tracks are right there, and I just can't see a coaster happening there. But anyway, nice trip report!
