Knott's begins ground preparation for Xcelerator

Posted | Contributed by James Disney

Knott's Berry Farm has finally started the preparation for their newest roller coaster, Xcelerator. A large footer is being dug as well as markers and paint showing the turnaround into the station and support areas. The park has also taken delivery of more launch track and supports.

The Disneyland Resort is also covered as they continue a few rehabs and the construction of A Bug's Land and Tower of Terror.

You're mama told you that your not supposed to talk to strangers. Look in the mirror tell me, Do you think you're life's in danger?
Does anybody know about how long this ride will be?  Just looking at the designs, my guess is about one minute.
From launch to brakes... I give it 40 seconds, and that's generous.  It'll be a fast ride!

62 seconds according to the press release
I am geussing the 62 seconds is included in a waiting to be launched and slowly making your way through the breaks.

The reason the model on ACN has the straight section is because that would be a position for a block brake, without it, 2 train operation would not be possible. That is why i added it there.
*looks a drawing of Xcellerator* O_O!!

Well i guess this is another coaster I'll be following from start to finish. Then hopefully riding it on the first day, or sooner... =D

Seems like its going to be awesome....to bad i live in pennsylvania :-(
